Fix the Connectivity problem

If you’re experiencing issues with the in-app commands or connectivity, the following are the steps to solve them.

Go to your phone settings. Rest and re-open your app after resetting it.
Remove Rock Light Control Box from the power. Let it remain disconnected for ten seconds before you connect it again.
Enable the Bluetooth function on your device.
Make sure to pair the Rock Light Controller in the app settings of the BLEDIM app.
Ensure it’s the latest version of the software on your device.
Make sure you have the newest version of the BLEDIM app; if not, reinstall it.

Solve the Mismatch Between Rock lights and its Pods

You will find a rock lights pod for every kit. If there’s an issue with pods, such as mismatched colors and turning on, then you can try the following methods to resolve it:

Search for the plug with the issues. Then, make sure that the two arrows are perfectly aligned on either side.
If you have found the pod with the issue, remove it and plug it into a different output of the Rock Light Control box.
Find whether there are damaged or frayed wires on the pod and control box.

A Problem With the Vehicle’s Alternator

If your alternator has an issue, there’s a high chance for you to experience flickering lights.

If you are facing on and off brightness and dullness from your rock lights, it’s probably because of an issue with the electrical system.

If your vehicle’s alternator does not provide enough juice for the lights, they won’t receive enough strength to provide steady light.

You should find a pattern if you want to ensure that it’s the alternator’s fault.

If you experience light flickers when you use the power windows or turn on the radio, then it’s something to do with your alternator. This is because all these activities involve electricity and it’s related to your alternator.

If you are confident that it’s an issue with the default alternator, then you can repair it.

You have to remove the battery, serpentine belt, and then screws. Also, don’t forget the wiring connectors.

Once you’re done with these, you have to reverse the steps to reinstall them. So if you think it’s the alternator causing the issue, it’s probably because of worn-out rotating plates.

It could be one of the three plates that produce electricity. You experience light flickering when it hits the dead spot.

Disconnected Cable or Loose Connection

Rock lights flicker because of disconnected cables or improper placement of fuse. It could be any of these reasons.

3) Ensure that the terminal is free of corrosion, oxidized metal, and debris so that cables fit well. Use emery paper and wire brush to clean the terminal perfectly. Make sure all the terminals are dirt-free.

4) Once the clamps and terminals are clean, connect the cable. Then, press the clamps as tightly as possible. Make sure that they are tight enough and cannot be moved by hand.

Pro Tip: coat the terminal connections and battery cable with some petroleum jelly.

Terrible Wiring

You will experience light flickering if the wiring is terrible. The damage can be detected in the components of the light. When the connector inside melts, there could be a poor connection.
